Since
entering the art field in the early 1990's, Wendy's artwork has
taken many twists and turns in it's growth. She has attended
several workshops but independent experimentation is the basis of
the variety of her work.
Her pieces range from pen and ink drawings
and acryllic paintings to three dimensional pieces of paper mache,
metal and wood.
Her interest in the tactile nature of
technique and material is evident in the evolution of her work.
There is a prevalence of mood throughout her pieces, sometimes bordering
on strong emotions.
The
scope of her subject matter is wide, including the design of functional
furniture and playful pieces, to simply be enjoyed, and conceptual
art, as an invitation to discussion.
